One chop to rule them all…

What is a pottery chop you’re probably wondering? Well a pottery chop is a stamp, usually a custom design or logo that is essentially the potters signature for their pottery. Some potters actually still sign their pottery while others use a custom made stamp (chop). Potters will usually mark their pots in a discreet location sometimes on the foot of the pot or on the underside of the pot. PIT-EKA actually uses several pottery chops depending on the size of the pot. If the pot is really small you’ll likely see ‘PIT-EKA’ etched underneath. So if you ever come across a mame or shohin size bonsai pot that has the following stamps below you’ll know that I’m the potter that made it.
